A paediatrician, doctor of nutrition from the Université de Montréal and university professor, Dr Auguste brings more than twenty years of clinical, academic, scientific and institutional experience in human nutrition, public health, paediatrics and nutrition applied to reproductive health.
As the Institute's Administrative Director, she contributes to the strategic, scientific and educational development of its training programmes in infertility and medically assisted reproduction. Her expertise centres on the link between nutrition, fertility and metabolic health, preconception nutritional counselling, and the support of couples on a fertility journey.
She holds a Doctor of Medicine from the State University of Haiti, a paediatrics specialisation from HUEH, and an MSc and PhD in nutrition, with a focus on nutritional neuroscience, from the Université de Montréal, along with international training in infectious diseases, public health, public administration, childhood obesity, malnutrition and isotopic techniques applied to nutritional assessment.
A published researcher in nutritional neuroscience, perinatal nutrition and public health, she has authored work on omega-3s, the GPR120/FFA4 receptor, food reward, obesity, anxiety, depression and the nutrition of vulnerable populations. She teaches fundamental and clinical nutrition at the State University of Haiti and Université Notre-Dame d'Haïti.
